really good one and thanks for it.

Glenn is decieved and has a seducing spirit of the devil. Joseph Smith is the worng mediator. The devil can bless you with riches and fame {Matthew 4] And God is not anywhere near your testimony. You must be born again. The word of God exalts Jesus Christ and his sacrafice for sinners, his shed blood and his resurrection power. Glenn, please contact me at 865 771 8156 and I would like to speake with you in person. Are you for real or a phony, lets find out. Thank you, Howard Johnson
Being born again is being baptized with water (submersion) and fire (spirit) by someone having proper authority. This we have–do you?
As a born again Christian and according to the research i have done on Glen Beck, i would fear for his soul. I agree alot with Glen on issues of small gov’t, personal responsibility, getting back to our American roots, etc. Although, I have heard many Christians comment that he is born again, but just attends a Mormon church? That is ridiclus, kinda like me a born again Christian who attends a United methodists church, but starts to attend a Budda Temple and claim I am growing in my faith and serving Jesus in the Temple.
I like Glen alot and even though he talks about faith alot, that dosen’t bother me, we as true Christians should be able to discern and take from others what is good. Glen has a good handle on basic morals as do many people of different faiths. He has some people around him who truly are Christians and imagine if we pray and ask Jesus to enter his heart, what an even bigger impact he can make!! (providing you agree with his political views:)
I am a recovering alcoholic of 15 years thanks to Jesus and I know alot of people like Glen who turn to the 12 steps (AA) and begin a new journey of faith and switch to another religion. He probably did’t know God while he was a Catholic and was swept in by the Mormon Church.
Either way, I don’t sense some sort of spirtiual attempt to convert people to Mormonism or deceive, Hes a Mormon, plain a simple, trying to return our country back to common sense principles, you don’t have to be a Christian to do that, my insurance agent is a Jehovah Witness and hes a good guy I can trust, but I just don’t accept his thelogy
My view on Glen is to pray for his soul and his mission to bring this country back to its comitment to the constitution.
Do Mormons really believe God lives on a planet called Kolob?
Yes, Peral of great price makes no bones about it, in Abraham 3:2 – 3
i am a mormon and im proud of it…
when i started to watch mr becks show, i really enjoyed it …but it started to get a bit too extreme for me…
i feel bad about the things that mr beck says because sometimes it promotes hate and division…
but good luck with your new show on fox news…i cant bring myself to support that platform of propaganda…
thanks for the memories mr beck!! good luck!!
I love Glenn Beck and have nothing personal against the Morman religion, however anything that perverts the Gospel as Paul talks about in Galatians, just takes away from what Christ did on the cross. It’s called the Jesus plus nothing plan, all you need is the blood of Christ and nothing else. So please read your Bibles and not the book of morman.
Galatians 1:6-9: I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
We read the Bible and the Book of Mormon together they are both in our scripture standards. Because we practice and preach Christ’s doctrines of faith, repentence, baptism and the laying on of hands for the Holy Ghost–this is a different gospel? Because we believe in a prophet to guide and direct His Church (Eph. 2:19,20); who is going the way of man-made doctrines and creeds.
Bob,
If you wanna read the Bible, read the King James Version.
You obviously quoted another ‘revised’ version because thats not how mine reads.
You talk of true religion, as free from human error and as much reliance on christ as possible, and yet you read and quote from a interpreted, shortened, paraphrased version of the bible.
Smooth.
Use the original.
For those who “practice both, ” read Revelations:
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:”
GLENN BECK: BORN & RAISED A CATHOLIC. GLENN BECK HAS BEEN PLANTED INTO THE LDS CHURCH BY CATHOLICISM. THE VATICAN FEARS LDS’S AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO INFILTRATE AND MONOPOLIZE THE LDS CHURCH….PLANT GLENN BECK THERE!!!!
Glenn Beck is a Modern Mormon, If he were a real mormon he would know his constitution and would be true Ron Paul supporter. Glenn Beck goes hand in hand with Mitt Romney who is not a real mormon either. Just because you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, does not mean you are a true follower of Jesus Christ. Biometric ID and bad mouthing people for asking questions about their government are just puppets for the Devil himself. Satan’s plan was Communism, Jesus’s plan of salvation is the Constitution. The BOM is a history of people defending their freedom. Wake up America, wake up all you modern mormons.
“REAL MORMON”
I do not believe you have any right to accuse another of being any less correct or faithful as you.
Modern Mormon? What the heck does that mean?
The church stands nuetral in politics. For a reason. Just because Beck doesn’t see everything through the eyes of Ron Paul, doesn’t make him any less faithful in his church.
Shame on you for labeling. Especially as LESS than YOU.
You better watch it buddy. Stomping on others and labeling yourself as the expert “real mormon”. That’s desecrated ground my friend.
how can such a sharp, astute fellah be so easily deceived?? Oh I know…
“If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2Cor 4.3-4
Sly little verbal trick, there in your website title:
“Commonality between LDS and other Christian religions”
That’s a pretty big logical leap you’re making, assuming LDS is a Christian denomination. Sure, you want people to jump to that conclusion, but it’s a bald-faced lie. There’s nothing Christian about a religion based on the 19th-century fantasies of a known flim-fam artist who peered into hats and “saw” the truth about Indians being lost tribes of Israel, an afterlife on other planets, and — most offensive of all to basic Christian theology — the presumption that humans can become gods in their own right.
Don’t try to lump yourselves in with Christianity. It’s an insult.
Read the Book Of Mormon. Over half the verses in it talk of the Savior and His atonement.
Maybe some of your beliefs differ from the mormons…but
They believe in Christ. Accept Christ.
They ARE Christian by defacto.
Take it or leave it.
Mormons live more Christlike and focus more on his ministry than anyone I know.
Be productive and stop whining about something you obviously have an ungrounded bias about.
Insult? Imagine with me for a minute, how they feel, when you call them unchristian, as they kneel in prayer to Christ. As they worship Christ. As they try to be like Christ.
And you feel insulted?
@ 5:25.
You’re still on the wrong side Mr. Beck, just because they’re good people doesn’t mean they are right.
Firstly, I would like to say that I am a Catholic Christian. with all of Beck’s attack on the Catholic church (and social justice) he is clearly not “PLANTED” by us. We want nothing to do with him.
I have the utmost respect for the LDS faith, and I do believe the church has much in common with all Christian churches. There are variations, but the core concept of Christianity is there. Many of my best friends are Mormon, and I have even studied the book of Mormon with them.
The issue at hand is not whether LDS people are Christian…because they clearly are. Beck’s wife is a devout Latter-Day Saint, and It’s a shame that she ended up with him.
The issue at hand is that Glenn Beck aligning himself with any Christian faith is a huge slap in the face. Beck is a hatemonger. He does not know God…not the God that I find in scripture. He preaches division, calls people who believe in social justice (as Jesus taught in the book of Matthew) Nazis and Communists. This man is not with God.
test
Yes, but how can Mormans be Christians when they do not believe in the Nicene Creed? They do not believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are coequal, that they are One. They do not even believe that God always was, as they think that He was once like us, who eventually became a god. The Catholic Church teaches that they are very different from Catholics or Protestants.
http://www.catholic.com/library/Distinctive_Beliefs_of_Mormon.asp
The Nicene Creed was created in council of men and written according to their interpretation of what God was.
Just because they see Christ, God, and The Spirit differently than you, by no means disqualifies them from Christianity.
Who do you think they pray to?
Worship?
Partake of the Sacrament in Remembrance of?
Barney?
You are absolutely right. It is politically correct to just shake your head yes about LDS being Christian. They are not. We know what brings us into the family of God is baptism. Christian baptism. The Mormons reject the BASIC doctrine of the Trinity. Thus their baptism is not valid. They are not Christian and why they want to be considered Christian really baffles me since they reject and ignore very very very basic Christian tenets. They are kind people. They love family. They really are active in their community — but that just makes them nice people. It does not make them Christians.
I believe that Glenn Beck means well, although I do not like his political perspectives. That said, I know plenty of others with those same basic beliefs. As others have already written, as both the Bible and the Book of Mormon state–and they come from the same source–the gospel of Christ is to serve others, especially those in need–the widows, the poor, the troubled, the outcasts, those in prison, the little. I find it a modern-day tragedy that so many have fallen for the thinking of just looking out for #1. It is no surprise to me that the whole nation has had this “Great Recession.” It is a great deal more than just a receding economy.
Christian ministries are sending out warnings against Glenn Beck not being a christian because he is LDS. What kind of bigitry are christians accepting? Here is my reply…
I recently investigated mormonism and discovered that anti mormon critics use the same kind of dirty tricks and deceptions that liberals do to make it appear that mormons are not in harmony with the Bible. After you cross reference the new testiment there definitely needs to be a church on the earth today with 12 appostles, until we can come to a unity of faith.”1 Corinthians.”
If the mormon church is false, atleast they follow the same organizational pattern Jesus originally set up, while nobody else even cares or bothers to follow Christs pattern for his original church. Did Christ make a mistake when he said to the 12 they must “become one” to unify the body of christ as one? When did Jesus come back down to earth and tell you to change his church into something else? Is he not the same yesterday, today, and forever?
Who changed Christs 12 appostle church into popes ,cardinals, and nuns, and later hundreds of rogue ministers who all head up separate businesses called churches today? What would Peter and Paul say if they returned to earth today and saw todays christian churches competing with each other for money? Big churches putting little ones out of business. Deviding christians into fractions and apposing the 12’s leadership?”If you are not one ,your not mine, Christ said.” Do you think Jesus is sitting up in heaven rooting for your church to out do the one down the street like Wallmart competes with Kmart? God forbid!
Glenn Beck is not preaching the LDS temple nor mormonism, but he is uniting christians into one spirit of freedom and liberty. Many christians are not being decieved when they feel Gods spirit empower them to unite together and save America from socialism. That spirit is moving powerfully when Glenn Beck speeks the truth. Millions feel a mighty heavenly power and are uniting into one purpose because that spirit is now being felt by millions, and it is a thousand times more holy and more powerfull than any minister speeking today. In your critisism of Beck, you may find yourself fighting against Gods will!
When have we ever heard any man preach like this man and unite the body of Christ as one force until Beck? Even Billy Graham never came close to what Glenn is acheiving. He will likely unite a million or more christians and patriots in Washingtom DC this week. He will unite tens of millions nationwide coming from of all faiths. That uniting force is the real spirit of God, combined with the spirit of truth ,and those of you who try to devide Christ into fractions appose that uniting spirit. shame on you. Paul Gregersen
But there are many differences between Christians and Mormons. Our core beliefs are very different, as we believe that there is only one God, and that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are coequal and everlasting. Ask any Mormon if they believe in more than one God. Ask them if there was a god before “our” God. Ask them if Mormon followers have the potential to become a god as well. Ask them if Jesus always was and not the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary. Ask them if God is Spirit and not flesh and bones as tangible as ours.
“Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none.'” – Isaiah 44:8
There are so many fundamental differences. How is it bigotry to observe these factual differences and know that the differences are too great to profess commonality? It’s almost like saying you’re a bigot if you don’t believe a truck is a car since you both believe they’re automobiles. Christians and Mormons have very different ideas about who Christ was. Look at what the dear Apostle Paul said:
Galatians 1:6-9
“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!”
Honestly ask yourself… Do Mormons preach a different gospel? If you find that the fundamental differences are so great, then why deny the conclusion that Christianity and Mormonism are two very different things?
But you are a Mormon, one who posts on youtube constantly.
Just one comment from me,
Whether or not I like Glenn Beck, the Mormons, or even Christianity, does not matter:
To all those persons who post comments using ‘quotes’ of scripture or doctrine from the bible as ammo in their attacks against ANY religion or figure…
USE THE KING JAMES VERSION.
Honestly? Great idea: “Let’s use a shortened, edited, paraphrased and further fallible-human-interpreted version of the bible to combat another’s faith as opposed to one of the earliest and most original versions.”
You can’t possibly attempt to compare the doctrine of another religion using more diluted, handled, interpreted and frankly even LESS accurate scriptural integrity than it (the bible) may or may not already have.
ANY debate should occur using the purest and most original form of factual evidence available.
That’s my two cents.
added note:
The comparison of an “interpreted” bible, for easier reading, CANNOT hold up in a debate versus the original word-for-word translation from the original language the book was written in.
PERIOD.
Critics don’t compare movies, food, books or anything to another, based on the paraphrased explanations or thoughts of others. They arrive at the original source and contend.
If you wanna talk doctrinal differences and cite sources of scripture… all i’m saying is use the original. not a ‘revised’ and paraphrased version.
That goes for everyone.
Tim, the King James Version of the Bible is not the “original” either. It is a translation of earlier versions, so that the people in King James’s day could understand the Word of God in their own vernacular. We don’t speak King James English anymore.
Americans need to wake up the fact that Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology and he mixes this with his personal make up as a dry alcoholic. And for the record, he is a Mormon and not a Christian. As someone with a graduate degree in religion, I can say with all qualifications that Mormonism fits all parameters of a cult and has none of the parameters of a religion. A cult is any group (regardless of its size) that interprets the doctrines of a religion in an unorthodox fashion. The problem here is the fact the most Christians do not understand the difference and they easily fall for the lies of Mormon missionaries when they come to one’s door. On Beck’s radio show and Fox Network program he consistent demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD and indecisiveness. Alongside that reality, Glenn Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, has no college degree, has no qualifications and he is definitely not a true conservative. But then, what can anyone expect from someone who can’t find anything filthier than their own personal reflection. Since people like Beck cannot survive on the basis of any personal merits, they survive by putting others down with lies and half truths in order to feel good about themselves. The truth about Beck is that he a dry mormon alcoholic who never got the counseling required for alcoholics. To further complicate things and confuse people, Beck flippantly throws around Christian terms like “God”, “Jesus”,”Holy Spirit” as well as voices of other so called “Spirit Powers” on his radio talk show. Beck is a mormon in active standing with the mormon church and is not a Christian. Mormonism teaches many gods, that the god of the earth was once a man who attained godhood status, there is no trinity, the cross of Christ means nothing and that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers. Because Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he is the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. The people who love what Beck says are no different than the impressionable sheep who loved every speech made by Adolph Hitler in his early years when he brought Germany into an era of economic prosperity These same sheep also blindly followed Hitler into one of the darkest chapters of world history. Beck and the Fox Network both cater to the same lowest common denominator of demagoguery. Beck would not know the first thing about God as he is a mormon. Someone should ask Beck which of the many mormon gods he kept talking about during his argument with himself on Saturday on the square in DC. Like a typical dry alcoholic, Beck even lied on national television when he spoke about holding a document signed by George Washington. That event never took Place. Unfortunately, people who love being led around by the nose do not realize that Beck is talking about a different god than that of Christianity, Judaism or Islam and that he has been a product of mormonism cultism from the day he started doing a radio talk show as an opinion pusher. You don’t have to have a degree in psychology to see that he exhibits all the signs of a dry alcoholic. The only reason this unstable impressionable idiot fell into mormonism was because the woman he wanted to have sex with would not do so unless they got first got married and from that point, they joined the mormon cult. Glenn Beck is as big a charlatan as Joseph Smith or that 5th grade graduate (Charles T Russell) who started the Jehovah’s Witness cult. This is Glenn Beck in a very accurate and concise nutshell. Considering the fact that Becks personal views are extreme Marxist Libertarian, his form of patriotism is false and he is a person who has no real substance or depth. It will not surprise many of us when Beck’s next big thing is to come out of the closet and announce his homosexuality to the nation. Simply put…he is just another predatory neocon who is pushing the buttons of very ignorant & impressionable people who love being told what to think and believe. We live in a period of history where it has become very socially acceptable to be stupid and follow extremist idiots like Glenn Beck, Adolph Hitler, Sarah Palin, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and Rush Limbaugh. Chicanery and lies are their middle names.
You are going to fail at your attempt to paint Beck in this evil way, I listen to Glenn everyday and you are full of crap. Beck is not trying to create any church movement but he is simply trying to unite all faiths to stop America from becoming a communist dictatorship under Obama.
He must unite all people of faith without attacking anyones beleifs to save our country. He is fighting for your churches future to servive, you idiot!
I wonder if you give a crap at all about saving our freedom but instead only care about advancing your private biblical interpretations while the country we love is being destroyed!. Get a life, Glenn Beck is twice the Godly man that you are and a thousand times more spirit filled.
Even a powerfull fire like the burning Bush with Gods power speeking to millions of christians who can all feel his truth as it flows from God.
The 12-28 event surpassed any spiritual event I ever witnessed! There was not one dry eye! Even the black panthers who came with evel intent were softened to tears and all of them went home convicted for recognizing wrong judgements within their hearts.
Nobody else can call out a million christians and have them gather as one.
Billy Graham never could even do this! “If your not one, your not mine.”Christ stated!
You are deviders of christ not uniters! You scatter Gods people instead of gathering them because your goal is money not Gods unity. Discusted!
The Bible says we judge a tree by its fruits. Glenn is bringing forth better fruit than any christian minister is doing today. The Mormon church is uniting christians not deviding them. I wonder if they are not the spirit filled church we are hungering for? Why are so many of our brightest christians joining them today?
I love what you have said Paul. Glenn Beck frequently says that if you love me now, just wait, you’ll hate me later. So admittedly he goes about his work with this in mind and honestly, I believe this is a healthy approach to media. Is he a uniter? Most defiantly. I’ve met him and attended several live presentations of his. It’s now 2014 and we went through a disappointing reelection of Obama. All I can say in retrospect is wow. Beck collaborated with many people of differing belief systems on live tv and so forth and I think, at least for the time many were able to look beyond religious differences and fight to keep our freedoms.
I wonder how Obama an be a Communist if all Liberals are Monarchists…something thats irritatingly common these days is for Right Wingers to link Liberalism with Monarchism, though Monarchism is Conservative inherently.
But that aside, I have no real respect for Beck, and it has nothing to do with his Mormon Faith, but rather his lack of compassion and his abject willingness’s to be cruel, to lie, and to distort facts.
